Event Terms and Conditions

These Event Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the GLOBAL OPEN DATA AND AI SUMMIT ("Summit"). By registering for, attending, or participating in the Summit, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not participate in the Summit.

Promotion Codes

If you have purchased or received a promotion code, such codes may not be shared or provided to anyone outside your company. Only one (1) code can be applied per registration. GODA reserves the right, including without prior notice, to cancel or impose conditions on the honoring of any promotion.

Registration and Attendance

Eligibility

• Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction to attend the Summit.
• Professional Conduct: All attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards other participants, speakers, and staff.

Registration

• Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. Providing false information may result in denial of access to the Summit.
• Non-Transferable: Registration is non-transferable. Only the registered individual may attend the Summit.

Fees And Payment

Summit fees may apply to your attendance or participation in an in-person or virtual Event. Payment (if applicable) must be provided in the manner and at the times noted on the Summit registration page or INFO Page. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received and GODA reserves the right to cancel your registration without notice for failure to pay as required. Unless specified otherwise, prices are noncancelable and nonrefundable, and valid exclusively for the specified Event (e.g., a GODA Summit 2024 ticket may not be used at GODA Summit 2025). You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your payment transactions.

Refunds, Substitutions and Cancellations

GODA may permit a refund or substitution of your registration for the summit to another person within your company at GODA's discretion, subject to the applicable refund, substitution and cancellation policies set forth on the Summit registration page or INFO Page. There are no refunds or credits for no‑shows. Payments made for one Event may not be applied toward the purchase of any other Event. Cancellation of travel reservations and hotel reservations is your exclusive responsibility. GODA is not responsible for any damages, direct or indirect, resulting from any canceled registration or impermissible substitution.

Minimum Age

For evening After Hours activities, you must be at least 21 years of age to attend

BADGES

You may be required to present identification and pick up a badge at the Summit check‑in area before entering the Event. If badges are required for admittance, they must be worn and visible at all times while you are at the Summit and during any activity associated with the Summit. Badges may not be shared or exchanged with any person.

Personal Information

GODA will handle your personal information collected during registration in accordance with GODA Privacy Notice.

Registration Information

You agree that GODA may use your registration information to send you updates and requests for feedback regarding the Summit. You also agree that GODA may use and disclose your personal information to its third‑party service providers to process your registration. Such third parties may have their own privacy policies that apply to their processing of your personal information.

Disclosing Your Registration Information.

Badges may contain technology that may be used to record your attendance and participation at the Summit (including visiting booths and attending sessions). You authorise GODA to disclose your registration information to Summit Sponsors to use in accordance with their privacy policy if (a) you scan your badge, elect to visit a sponsor’s booth, or attend any in-person or virtual sessions or other activities at Summit involving Summit Sponsors (in which case we would provide your registration information only to the Summit Sponsor involved in such session or other activity,) or (b) you opt-in during registration or otherwise to receive communications from our Summit Sponsors. GODA is not responsible for the privacy practices of any Summit Sponsor or other third party. Please contact the Summit Sponsor or third party to learn more about its practices with respect to any information that it collects or to unsubscribe from its marketing communications.

Recordings

Government Attendees

If you are a government employee or official, you must identify yourself as such during the registration process for the summit, and, for an in-person session, you may be asked to present your government-issued employee badge during the check-in process. If you are offered free or discounted attendance or participation at the summit, you must disclose your attendance at the summit to your employing government agency in advance, and obtain such agency’s permission for you to accept free or discounted attendance at the summit. You must also confirm your compliance with the foregoing upon request by GODA and comply, for the entire duration of the summit, with all applicable rules, regulations and policies imposed by your employing agency, including those relating to the acceptance and disclosure of gifts and gratuities.

Event Conduct

FYou are required to comply with the GODA CODE OF CONDUCT and the rules of the venue. GODA reserves the right to refuse admission to, or to eject, any person who has registered under false pretenses (e.g., companies or attendee names that do not exist, individuals who are under-aged, etc.) or who fails to follow any of GODA’s other rules or directions, as determined by GODA in its sole discretion.

Changes To Event

GODA reserves the right to make any changes to the Summit its content and/or programs offered at any time and without notice, including the availability or suitability of venue or speakers or on security, health, or safety grounds, and in the event of any natural or public disaster, insufficient participation or sponsorship, government regulation or shutdown, necessary venue construction, labor controversy, civil disturbance, acts or threats of terrorism, armed conflict or similar reasons beyond its reasonable control. GODA is not responsible for, and no reimbursement will be issued in the event of, any change to the Summit.

Safety And Security

Your safety and security are important to us. You understand that you and your property may be subject to a reasonable search upon entry to the Summit and you may be asked to provide photo identification. Your bags may be required to be stored during the Summit. If you refuse to participate in these security measures, we may deny you entry. We also reserve the right to ask you to leave the Summit if your behavior causes us concern for the safety or security of Summit attendees.

Assumption of Risk; Health and Safety

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE SUMMIT IS VOLUNTARY AND YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT: (I) ATTENDING IN-PERSON EVENTS CARRIES WITH IT CERTAIN INHERENT RISKS THAT CANNOT BE ELIMINATED REGARDLESS OF THE CARE TAKEN TO AVOID INJURIES; AND (II) IN-PERSON EVENT PARTICIPATION INCLUDES POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO AND ILLNESS FROM INFECTIOUS DISEASES. YOU UNDERSTAND AND ASSUME ALL RELATED HEALTH AND SAFETY RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ATTENDING THE EVENT, INCLUDING RISKS RELATED TO COVID-19. Attendees will be required to meet any government-mandated health and safety requirements (including vaccination requirements), or any health and safety requirements imposed by the host or venue, to attend. If we deny you entry or require you to leave, you will not receive a refund.

Release Of Claims

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU HEREBY EXPRESSLY AGREE TO RELEASE GODA, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VENDORS, PARTNERS, AGENTS AND CONTRACTORS, SUCCESSORS, AND ASSIGNS (COLLECTIVELY, “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY AND ALL ALLEGED AND/OR ACTUAL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, LAWSUITS, DAMAGES AND LOSSES OF ANY KIND WHICH ARISE OUT OF OR RESULT FROM YOUR ATTENDANCE AT AND PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT AND ANCILLARY ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, FINANCIAL LOSS, PERSONAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURIES, ILLNESS, PAIN, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT SUFFERING, DISABILITY, DEATH OR OTHER PHYSICAL LOSS, WHETHER OR NOT FORESEEABLE, AND WHETHER ARISING OUT OF THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF GODA OR ANY RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. YOU COVENANT NOT TO MAKE OR BRING ANY SUCH CLAIMS AGAINST GODA OR ANY OTHER RELEASEE, AND FOREVER RELEASE AND DISCHARGE GODA AND ALL OTHER RELEASEES FROM LIABILITY UNDER SUCH CLAIMS. THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITIES THAT UK LAW OR OTHER APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT TO BE RELEASED BY AGREEMENT.

Liability And Disclaimer

GODA AND OUR AFFILIATES AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF A PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, FOR (A) INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR (B) LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, CUSTOMERS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL. IN ANY CASE, GODA AND OUR AFFILIATES’ AND LICENSORS’ AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE EVENT TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE EVENT REGISTRATION FEES, IF ANY, PAID BY YOU TO AND RECEIVED BY GODA FOR THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY. THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY ONLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to your participation in the Summit shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The UK. By registering for and attending the Summit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
